The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Josh Currie to a one-year, two-way contract.
Currie has spent the last five seasons with the AHL’s Bakersfield Condors, leading the team in goals (24) and points (41) in 56 games in 2019-20.
One of only two players to hit the 20-goal mark in each of the last four AHL seasons, Currie has totaled 103 goals and 85 assists for 188 points in 297 career AHL games, all with the Condors.
Currie signed his first NHL contract with Edmonton on July 18, 2018, and appeared in 21 games with the Oilers in 2018-19, recording two goals and three assists.
