The Calgary Flames, parent club of the AHL’s Quad City Flames, have signed forward Grant Stevenson to a one-year contract.
Stevenson, a 5-foot-11, 170-pound right wing tied a career high with 39 points (14 goals, 25 assists) in 59 AHL games with Worcester in 2006-07.
In 224 career AHL games over the last four years in the San Jose organization, Stevenson, 25, recorded 49 goals and 84 assists for 133 points. He appeared in 47 NHL games with the Sharks during the 2005-06 season and registered 10 goals and 12 assists for 22 points.
A native of Spruce Grove, Alta., Stevenson played his first NHL game in Calgary against the Flames on Nov. 23, 2005, and scored his first NHL goal on the same night.
