The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, it was announced today.
Fleury, 20, was recalled by Pittsburgh on Nov. 10 for his second NHL stint of the season. Last night in Philadelphia, he made 45 saves in a 3-2 overtime win over the Flyers.
For the season, Fleury is 1-1-1 with a 3.40 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage with Pittsburgh.
In eight appearances with Wilkes-Barre in 2005-06, Fleury is 7-1-0 with an AHL-leading 1.49 GAA and a .938 save percentage.
