The Los Angeles Kings have acquired forward Andrew Crescenzi from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for forward Brandon Kozun.
Kozun, 23, was originally drafted by the Kings in the sixth round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. The fourth-year pro has played 43 games with the Monarchs this season, registering 10 goals and 19 assists.
In 264 career AHL games, all with Manchester, Kozun has totaled 79 goals, 100 assists and 179 points. He topped the 20-goal mark in each of his first three seasons, and set career highs in goals (26), assists (30), points (56) and plus/minus (+12) last year.
Crescenzi, 21, has one goal and one assist in 32 games with the Toronto Marlies this season. The second-year pro split his rookie season in 2012-13 between the Marlies and San Francisco (ECHL).
The native of Thornhill, Ont., was originally signed by the Maple Leafs as a free agent on Sept. 24, 2010.
