The Los Angeles Kings, parent club of the AHL’s Manchester Monarchs, have signed free-agent right wing Adam Cracknell and left wing David van der Gulik to one-year contracts.
Cracknell is a 6-foot-2, 210-pound native of Prince Albert, Sask., who has appeared in 65 career NHL regular-season games — all with the St. Louis Blues — over the past four seasons, totaling six goals and 10 assists for 16 points. He also appeared in 10 postseason games with the Blues, totaling one goal.
In 375 career AHL games with Chicago, Peoria, Quad City and Omaha, Cracknell has tallied 87 goals and 113 assists for 200 points. He had 12 goals and 13 assists in 28 games with the Wolves in 2013-14.
Cracknell was originally selected by the Calgary Flames in the ninth round at the 2004 NHL Draft.
Van der Gulik is a 5-foot-10, 173-pound native of Abbotsford, B.C., who has appeared in 48 career NHL regular-season games with Colorado and Calgary over five seasons, totaling two goals and 11 assists for 13 points.
In 478 career AHL games over eight seasons with Lake Erie, Abbotsford, Quad City and Omaha, van der Gulik has 126 goals and 156 assists for 282 points.
Van der Gulik was originally selected by Calgary in the seventh round at the 2002 NHL Draft.
