The Phoenix Coyotes, the NHL affiliate of the San Antonio Rampage, announced on Monday that they have traded defenseman Rick Berry to the Nashville Predators for future considerations.
Berry will report to the Milwaukee Admirals, Nashville’s AHL affiliate.
Berry, 26, was scoreless in five games with the Rampage this season. The 6-foot-2, 213-pound blueliner has posted 21 goals and 46 assists for 67 points in 234 career AHL games with San Antonio, Utah, Portland and Hershey since his rookies season of 1998-99.
The native of Birtle, Man., has added two goals and 13 assists in 197 NHL contests with Washington, Pittsburgh and Colorado. Berry was originally the Avalanche’s third-round choice, 55th overall, in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft.
