The Ontario Reign have wrapped up a berth in the 2018 Calder Cup Playoffs, their third straight trip to the postseason since joining the AHL.
The Reign became the second team from the Pacific Division and the seventh team overall to clinch a playoff berth, punching their ticket with a 3-2 win over San Diego on Friday night.
This will be the ninth consecutive Calder Cup Playoff appearance for the Los Angeles Kings’ top development affiliate, and the 16th in 17 seasons since the Manchester Monarchs joined the league in 2001.
