Wyatt Smith had a goal and two assists and Steve Regier scored twice in the third period as Bridgeport doubled up Norfolk, 6-3, in a Sunday afternoon affair at the Arena at Harbor Yard.
With the win, the Sound Tigers improved to 12-2-1-2 in their last 17 home games.
Masi Marjamaki, Jeremy Colliton and Chris Thompson also scored for the Sound Tigers. Thompson’s goal, his first in 48 career AHL contests, snapped a 3-3 tie late in the second period.
Wade Dubielewicz finished with 42 saves as Bridgeport started the Admirals off on their 11-game road trip with a loss, and moved past Norfolk into sole possession of third place in the East Division.
Nathan Barrett led the Admirals with a goal and an assist on the afternoon.
