Stars return Sawada to Manitoba

mtb_200.jpgThe Dallas Stars announced today they have re-assigned forward Raymond Sawada to the Manitoba Moose.

Sawada, 24, appeared in five games with the Dallas Stars since his first-ever recall on Feb. 19. In his NHL debut, he scored his first NHL career goal on his 24th birthday versus the Edmonton Oilers.

Sawada has appeared in 47 games so far this season with the Moose where he’s scored 18 points (5-13-18) and collected 31 penalty minutes. In his brief season and a half in the AHL, the Richmond, B.C., native has played in 57 games with Manitoba and the Iowa Stars where he scored 27 points (7-20-27) and 51 penalty minutes.
