The Utah Hockey Club has acquired forward Sammy Walker from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for future considerations.
Walker has been assigned to the AHL’s Tucson Roadrunners.
In 30 games for the Iowa Wild this season, Walker has recorded two goals and nine assists. The third-year pro has appeared in 156 career AHL games with Iowa, totaling 43 goals and 61 assists for 104 points.
As a rookie in 2022-23, Walker posted 27 goals and 48 points and participated in the AHL All-Star Classic. He also made his NHL debut with Minnesota.
A seventh-round pick by Tampa Bay in the 2017 NHL Draft, Walker has one goal and one assist in 13 career NHL games, all with the Wild.
