Rookie P.K. Subban set a franchise record for points by a defenseman in one season when he earned his 45th point (13-32-45) in Saturday’s 3-2 shootout win over Hartford… Subban, who ranks fourth in scoring among all AHL rearguards, surpassed the 44 points put up by Yannick Weber (2008-09) and Sven Butenschon (2001-02)… Andre Benoit is now the Bulldogs’ all-time leader in points by a defenseman with 86, passing Dan Jancevski’s 85… Hamilton’s eight-game winning streak is one shy of the club’s franchise record of nine… The Bulldogs look to tie that mark on Friday in the first of two home-ice battles with Grand Rapids this weekend. |
