Worcester Sharks rookie forward Jamie McGinn will enter the AHL Chat Room to answer fans’ questions on Thursday, May 7th.
McGinn tallied 19 goals and 30 points in 47 regular-season games with the Sharks and scored twice in his first postseason contest.

A 20-year-old native of Fergus, Ont., McGinn was a second-round draft pick (36th overall) by the San Jose Sharks in 2006 and is wrapping up his first professional campaign.
Despite playing just 47 regular-season games in the AHL, his 19 goals were tied for third-most on Worcester. He registered a six-game scoring streak from Feb. 4-25, a stretch that included a goal in four consecutive contests.
McGinn also earned a handful of NHL recalls to San Jose throughout the season and recorded six points (4-2-6) in 35 games with the parent Sharks.
He stayed with San Jose through its first-round Stanley Cup Playoff series, and upon his return to Worcester on Apr. 28, tallied a pair of goals in the Sharks’ 3-2 overtime loss at Providence in Game 1 of the Atlantic Division Finals. Including the regular season, McGinn shows a team-high eight goals in nine games against the Bruins.
McGinn played four seasons of junior hockey for the Ottawa 67’s (OHL) and racked up 226 points in 243 games, including a 46-goal and 89-point showing in 2006-07.
