OT goal from Taffe lifts Rampage over Knights

Rampage center Jeff Taffe played the hero in Thursday’s matchup with Omaha as San Antonio defeated the Knights 3-2 in overtime at the AT&T Center.

Taffe capped a San Antonio comeback scoring a power-play goal 1:14 into the extra session, while Donald MacLean tallied in the third period for the Rampage to knot the game at 2-2 and forcing overtime.

Bryan Helmer recorded three assists on the night while rookie netminder Josh Tordjman stopped 31 of 33 shots in the victory.

Tomi Maki and rookie Ryan Donally scored the goals for Omaha.
