The Minnesota Wild have assigned forward Zach Parise to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League on a conditioning assignment.

Iowa hosts the Rockford IceHogs tonight at 8 p.m. ET on AHL Live.

Parise, 33, underwent microdiscectomy surgery on Oct. 24 and has not appeared in a game for Minnesota this season. The 5-foot-11, 195-pound native of Minneapolis, Minn., owns 661 points (318 goals, 343 assists) in 830 career NHL contests with New Jersey and Minnesota.

Parise last appeared in the AHL during the 2004-05 season, when he made his professional debut with the Albany River Rats. Parise skated in 73 games that year, posting 18 goals and 40 assists for 58 points. He also appeared in the 2005 AHL All-Star Classic.
