Perrault helps Rampage double up Marlies

The Rampage kicked off their 16-game road trip in good fashion with a 4-2 win over the Marlies at the Air Canada Center on Thursday night.

Joel Perrault continued his scoring surge by adding two goals on the night for San Antonio. Perrault has six goals and nine points in seven games since joining the Rampage on Jan. 12.

Donald MacLean and Chris Ferraro both tallied a goal and an assist as David LeNeveu made 29 saves for the visiting Rampage, who has gone 4-2-0-1 in their last seven contests.

Colin Murphy scored and Erik Westrum tallied a goal on the penalty shot in the loss for the Marlies.


IOWA 1, MILWAUKEE 0
Dan Ellis stopped 18 shots to earn his first shutout of the year as the Iowa Stars defeated the Milwaukee Admirals 1-0 at the Bradley Center.

Defenseman Mark Ardelan tallied the only goal of the night with helpers from Mario Scalzo and Junior Lessard as Iowa won its second-straight game, both by one goal.

Ellis improved his record to 13-10-0 for the Stars.

Opposing goaltender Karl Goehring stopped 24 of 25 shots in a losing effort for the Admirals, who have dropped three of their last four games.
