Perrin, Ulmer sign with Bears

The Hershey Bears announced today that center Eric Perrin and right wing Jeff Ulmer have signed American Hockey League contracts with the club for the 2004-05 season. The announcement was made by Bears President/GM Doug Yingst.

Perrin led Hershey in scoring during 2003-04 with 21 goals and 54 assists for 75 points, and was leading the AHL in scoring at the time of his recall to the NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning on Mar. 27. After playing in four regular-season games for the Lightning, Perrin saw action in 12 Stanley Cup playoff games, recording his first NHL point during Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals against Philadelphia.

Perrin was a First Team AHL All-Star last season and represented Hershey at the 2004 Pepsi AHL All-Star Classic in Grand Rapids.

Ulmer played in Europe during the 2003-04 season after skating for the AHL’s Binghamton Senators in 2002-03. He netted the first goal in Binghamton Senators history on Oct. 11, 2002.

Perrin and Ulmer will be on hand with the rest of their Hershey teammates when the team opens training camp on Wednesday at Giant Center.
