Predators sign Grimaldi, Brickley, Tinordi

The Nashville Predators have signed forwards Rocco Grimaldi and Connor Brickley and defenseman Jarred Tinordi to one-year, two-way contracts.

Grimaldi, 25, was an AHL All-Star last season with the San Antonio Rampage, recording 15 goals and 16 assists in 49 games. He added one goal and two assists in six NHL games with the Colorado Avalanche.

Grimaldi has skated in 237 AHL games during his four pro seasons, totaling 76 goals and 85 assists for 161 points with San Antonio and Portland.

Originally drafted in the second round by the Florida Panthers in the 2011, Grimaldi has five goals and five assists for 10 points in 37 career NHL games with the Panthers and Avalanche.

Brickley, 26, spent the entire 2017-18 season in the NHL, collecting four goals and eight assists in 44 games with Florida.

The Panthers’ second-round draft pick in 2010, Brickley has five goals and 12 assists for 17 points in 67 career NHL games. He also has 50 goals and 52 assists for 102 points in 195 AHL games with Charlotte, Portland and San Antonio.

Tinordi, 26, set career highs with five goals, 16 assists, 21 points and a plus-19 rating in 62 AHL games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton last season.

In 290 career AHL games with W-B/Scranton, Tucson, St. John’s and Hamilton, Tinordi has collected 12 goals and 51 assists for 63 points.

A six-year pro and a 2010 first-round draft pick by Montreal, Tinordi has six assists in 53 career NHL games with Montreal and Arizona.
