Rampage add Jackman after NHL deal

The Phoenix Coyotes on Saturday announced that they have assigned newly-acquired forward Tim Jackman to the AHL’s San Antonio Rampage.

The Coyotes acquired Jackman and Geoff Sanderson from Columbus in exchange for Jason Chimera, Cale Hulse and Michael Rupp.

Jackman, 23, tallied 46 goals and 41 assists for 87 points in 214 AHL games with Syracuse. He skated in 73 games with the Crunch last season, registering 14 goals and 21 assists.

A second-round draft pick by the Blue Jackets in 2001, Jackman has appeared in 19 career NHL games, all with Columbus in 2003-04. He netted one goal and two assists over five separate stints.
