Rampage escape with win

Joel Kwiatkowski scored with 23 seconds remaining in overtime to give San Antonio a 4-3 win over Houston at the SBC Center on Thursday night.

The Rampage now trail the fourth-place Aeros by seven points in the West Division.

San Antonio held a two-goal with less than four minutes to play before Brent Burns and Zbynek Michalek scored late in regulation to tie the score.

But Burns took a tripping penalty in the final minute of overtime, setting up Kwiatkowski’s power-play heroics.

Ryan Jardine had a goal and two assists for the Rampage. Pierre-Marc Bouchard and Rickard Wallin chipped in two assists each for the Aeros.
