Rangers acquire Bergman

The New York Rangers have acquired defenseman Julius Bergman, a fourth-round pick in the 2019 draft and a seventh-round pick in the 2019 draft from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for defenseman Adam McQuaid.

Bergman, 23, has collected six assists in 33 AHL games with the Belleville Senators this season. The fourth-year pro from Stockholm, Sweden, was acquired by Columbus on Feb. 22 in a deal with Ottawa.

Bergman has skated in 223 career AHL games with Belleville, San Jose and Worcester, totaling 16 goals and 51 assists for 67 points.

He was originally a second-round pick by San Jose in the 2014 NHL Draft.
