Ring out 2005 with the AHL

Celebrate New Year’s Eve with the American Hockey League, with 12 games on the schedule to ring out 2005.

The action kicked off with a matinee in Bridgeport, and continues with Philadelphia at Hershey and Toronto at Manitoba at 5:00 (ET).

At 5:35 (ET), Atlantic Division-leading Portland hosts Springfield, which is looking to end a six-game losing streak. Half an hour later, pucks drop in Binghamton (vs. Syracuse) and Wilkes-Barre (vs. Norfolk).

At 7:00 (ET), Grand Rapids hosts Chicago in its traditional New Year’s Eve game at Van Andel Arena, the first meeting of the season between the rivals. Another rivalry is renewd in Hartford as the Wolf Pack entertain Providence.

At 7:35 (ET), it’s Albany at Manchester, followed by the Monarchs’ annual indoor fireworks show. Hamilton visits Peoria and Houston heads to San Antonio at 8:00 (ET), and 2005 ends with Iowa hosting Omaha, game time 8:35 (ET).
