Rockford rolls to sixth straight win

The Rockford IceHogs won their sixth straight game on Wednesday night, and as a result are on the verge of reaching the Western Conference Finals.

Rockford beat Manitoba, 4-1, to take a 3-0 series lead in the Central Division Finals with Game 4 scheduled for Friday night.

Tyler Sikura and Victor Ejdsell scored 67 seconds apart to turn a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 IceHogs lead early in the second period.

William Pelletier added an insurance marker with 6:08 to go in the third, and Matthew Highmore finished the scoring with an empty-netter. It was the fifth consecutive game in which the IceHogs allowed the first goal before rallying to win.

Collin Delia (6-0) stopped 36 of 37 shots to help the IceHogs remain perfect this postseason. Delia is now 16-1-2 in his last 19 decisions.

Eric Comrie (3-5) made 37 saves in the loss for the Moose.
