Sabres agree to terms with Wedgewood

The Buffalo Sabres have agreed to terms with goaltender Scott Wedgewood on a one-year, two-way contract.

Wedgewood, 25, was 3-1-1 in seven AHL appearances between Ontario and Binghamton last season, posting a 2.82 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage. He also appeared in a career-high 20 NHL games with Arizona (5-9-4, 3.45, .893).

Wedgewood has played 116 career AHL games with Ontario and Binghamton/Albany, showing a record of 53-37-13 with a 2.38 GAA, a .908 save percentage and eight shutouts.

In 24 career NHL contests with Arizona and New Jersey, Wedgewood is 7-10-5 with a 3.05 GAA, a .903 save percentage and two shutouts.
