Sabres sign Dea for two seasons

The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has signed forward Jean-Sebastien Dea to a two-year contract.

Dea, 25, appeared in 46 AHL games between the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and Springfield Thunderbirds in 2018-19, totaling 17 goals and 27 assists for 44 points.

He added four goals and two assists in 23 NHL games between Pittsburgh and New Jersey.

A native of Laval, Que., Dea has skated in 308 career AHL contests with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Springfield, and has registered 83 goals and 102 assists for 185 points. He also has two goals and two assists in 22 postseason outings.

In 29 career NHL games with the Penguins and Devils, Dea has recorded five goals and two assists.
