Santorelli sends Milwaukee to OT win

MILWAUKEE 4, TORONTO 3 (OT)
Mike Santorelli scored on the power play 46 seconds into overtime as Milwaukee pulled out a 4-3 road win over Toronto on Monday at Ricoh Coliseum.

The Admirals (14-8-1-4) have now won a season-high four straight games and have pulled into a three-way tie with Peoria and Rockford for second place in the West Division.

Santorelli’s sixth goal of the season, which have come in just nine games, was assisted by Nick Spaling and defenseman Cody Franson, just reassigned from parent-club Nashville.

Cal O’Reilly, Chris Muller, and Hugh Jessiman notched regulation goals for the Admirals, while the Marlies countered with markers by Ben Ondrus, Andre Deveaux, and rookie Christina Hanson.

Second-year Milwaukee goaltender Mark Dekanich (7-5-2) earned the victory with 30 saves between the pipes. Dekanich, who beat San Antonio on Friday, has now collected wins in back-to-back starts for the first time all season.

Adam Munro took the loss despite making 43 saves for the Marlies, who were outshot 47-33 in the contest and dropped to 2-3-2-0 in their last seven outings.
