Sharks pick up Dahlen from Vancouver

The San Jose Sharks have acquired forward Jonathan Dahlen from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for forward Linus Karlsson.

Dahlen, 21, has registered 14 goals and 15 assists for 29 points in 50 games with the AHL’s Utica Comets this season. He also ranks third among all AHL rookies with eight power-play goals.

Dahlen was a second-round choice (42nd overall) by Ottawa in the 2016 NHL Draft.

Karlsson, 19, has registered four goals and 13 assists for 17 points in 48 games for Karlskrona HK in the Swedish second-tier Allsvenskan this season.

Karlsson was selected by San Jose in the third round, 87th overall, at the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.
