Sharks smell blood, eye first place today

There could be a changing of the guard in the Atlantic Division today, as a Worcester victory over Providence would put the Sharks in first place.

The top four teams in the Atlantic are separated by just two points, with the Bruins and Hartford Wolf Pack tied at 55 points each, followed by the Sharks at 54 and the Portland Pirates at 53.

The B’s are 4-0-1-0 against the Sharks this season and 9-0-1-0 in the teams’ last 10 meetings.

The only AHL action on Super Bowl Sunday takes place at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center, and if you can’t make it to the rink, catch all the action on AHL Live beginning at 2:00 p.m. ET.
