Sound Tigers sign four

The Bridgeport Sound Tigers announced that forwards Kellen JonesJosh Winquist and Aaron Berisha, as well as defenseman Luke Juha, have agreed to terms on one-year American Hockey League contracts.

Jones, 25, totaled four goals and four assists for eight points in 33 AHL games with Bakersfield and Utica in 2015-16, his second pro season. He also had six goals and 19 assists for 25 points in 23 ECHL games with Missouri.

A product of nearby Quinnipiac University, Jones has nine goals and 15 assists for 24 points in 87 career AHL games with Bakersfield, Utica and Oklahoma City. He was a seventh-round draft choice by the Edmonton Oilers in 2010.

Winquist, 22, notched eight goals and 22 assists for 30 points in 35 AHL games with Bakersfield in 2015-16. Over two pro seasons, Winquist has totaled 16 goals and 33 assists for 49 points in 82 AHL games with Bakersfield and Oklahoma City.

Berisha, 21, finished his junior career with 45 goals and 27 assists for 72 points in 66 regular-season games for London (OHL). He added five goals and six assists in 18 playoff games to help London win the Memorial Cup.

Berisha notched 92 goals and 66 assists for 158 points in 255 OHL games with London and Belleville.

Juha, 23, is coming off a four-year collegiate career at Penn State University, where he tallied eight goals and 16 assists for 24 points in 33 games as a senior in 2015-16.

The Mississauga, Ont., native earned both team MVP and top defenseman during his senior campaign at Penn State and was named to the 2015-16 Academic All-Big Ten Team.
