Sound Tigers tweak look

The Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the NHL’s New York Islanders, unveiled new uniforms – featuring the Islander colors – at a press conference today at the team’s practice facility in Shelton, Conn.

Bridgeport will use the original Tiger face logo on home and away jerseys, although this focal point of the uniform will be orange instead of blue as it was in the past. The home white jersey will feature sharp orange designs along the sides, sleeves and on the shoulders. The away uniform is navy blue and strongly resembles the Islanders’ traditional look with orange and white stripes.

Additionally, a third jersey was unveiled; this uniform is white and combines the traditional Sound Tigers’ look, featuring a blue Tiger face, with the Islanders’ colors. The eye of the Tiger on the third jersey is orange, instead of yellow, to reflect the American Hockey League team’s relationship with the Islanders.
