The Admirals snared the early lead as Teemu Laakso scored on a 5-on-3 power play with 8:43 left in the first period, but that would be the only offense Milwaukee would get on the night.

The Stars broke through at 12:52 of the second period on Philip Larsen’s power-play goal, and Aaron Gagnon struck with his second goal of the series less than three minutes later to give Texas the lead.

Morin gave the Stars some breathing room with a power-play tally 4:03 into the third period.

Raymond Sawada recorded two assists for Texas, which has won six of eight meetings with the Admirals this season.

Jeremy Smith made 27 saves for Milwaukee.
