Stars-Marlies opener on NHL Network Radio

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League has announced that SiriusXM NHL Network Radio will air Game 1 of the AHL’s Western Conference Finals between the Texas Stars and the Toronto Marlies on Friday night.

The Stars and Marlies will face off Friday in the opener of their best-of-seven series at Cedar Park Center in Cedar Park, Texas, and the game will be carried live on SiriusXM NHL Network Radio at 8:30 ET.

Four teams remain in the hunt for the AHL’s 2014 Calder Cup championship. In the Western Conference, Texas, top development team of the National Hockey League’s Dallas Stars, is facing off against Toronto (Toronto Maple Leafs), while the Eastern Conference Finals are pitting the St. John’s IceCaps (Winnipeg Jets) against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (Pittsburgh Penguins).

Future AHL broadcasts on NHL Network Radio will be announced at a later date.
