Syracuse puts a Crunch on Bulldogs’ win streak

Joakim Lindstrom had a pair of goals and Curtis Glencross added a goal and two assists as the Syracuse Crunch defeated the Hamilton Bulldogs by a score of 5-3 on Monday night.

Ty Conklin, who led the Bulldogs to the Calder Cup Finals in 2003, stopped 28 of 31 shots in the contest for the Crunch to earn his first AHL win since Nov. 17, 2006.

Glencross now has three goals and five points in his last three games and a total of six goals and nine points in his 10 games since joining the Crunch on Jan. 27.

Syracuse handed the visiting Bulldogs their first loss in regulation since Jan. 16, snapping a 10-0-1-1 stretch.

Zenon Konopka had a goal and an assist and defenseman Jekabs Redlihs added two assists for Syracuse, which ended a six-game winless skid.

Corey Locke led Hamilton in a losing effort by recording a pair of goals, giving him 10 points in his last four games (5g, 5a).
