T.J. Hensick signs with Ontario

The Ontario Reign, American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), have signed forward T.J. Hensick.

 

Hensick, 30, registered 40 points (nine goals, 31 assists) in 65 AHL games between the Charlotte Checkers (46 games) and Utica Comets (19 games) last season. Entering his 10th professional season, the Howell, Michigan, native holds 471 points (139 goals, 332 assists) in 503 career AHL games with the Checkers, Comets, Hamilton Bulldogs, Peoria Rivermen and Lake Erie Monsters. Hensick also appeared in the AHL All-Star Classic in 2008 and 2010-12 and was selected to the AHL Second All-Star Team in 2012 after a 70-point (21 goals, 49 assists) season with the Rivermen.

 

Selected by the Colorado Avalanche in the third round (88th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, Hensick scored 12 goals and 26 assists for 38 points in 112 career NHL games with the Avalanche and St. Louis Blues.
