The 24-year-old forward led the Wolves with four points (2g, 2a) and a +4 rating in their 7-4 victory over the Iowa Chops last night, and shares third on the team with 16 goals and fourth with 31 points, despite appearing in just 41 of the team’s 68 games this year.

The Los Angeles native has appeared in three games with the Thrashers this season, collecting a goal in his season debut against Detroit on Oct. 24. Overall, Sterling has notched four points (2g, 2a) in 16 contests with Atlanta during parts of two seasons.

The two-time American Hockey League All-Star and 2006-07 Rookie of the Year has racked up 109 goals, 90 assists and 199 points in 188 career regular-season AHL matchups with Chicago, and was a member of the Wolves 2008 Calder Cup championship team.

Sterling will join the Thrashers tonight in Buffalo, N.Y., when they take on the Sabres, while the Wolves host the Milwaukee Admirals at the Allstate Arena.
