SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League today announced that Lake Erie Monsters forward T.J. Hensick, Norfolk Admirals forward Blair Jones and Worcester Sharks goaltender Alex Stalock have been added to the rosters for the 2010 Time Warner Cable AHL All-Star Classic, to take place Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 18 and 19, in Portland, Maine.

Hensick and Stalock will play for the PlanetUSA AHL All-Stars, while Jones will suit up for the Canadian AHL All-Star. In addition, the AHL announced that Norfolk’s Brandon Bochenski and Hershey’s Michal Neuvirth will miss the event due to NHL recall, and Lake Erie’s Darren Haydar will miss the event due to injury.

Hensick, a 24-year-old native of Howell, Mich., is in his third professional season and will be making his second AHL All-Star appearance. The former third-round draft choice (2005) of the Colorado Avalanche has recorded six goals and 25 assists for 31 points in 22 games for Lake Erie this season, while adding one goal and two assists in seven NHL outings with the Avalanche.

Jones, 23, is a fourth-year pro from Central Butte, Sask. A fourth-round draft choice by Tampa Bay in 2005, Jones has registered six goals and 13 assists for 19 points in 27 games for Norfolk this season. He has also skated in 14 NHL games with the Lightning in 2009-10. This will be Jones’s first AHL All-Star appearance.

Stalock, 22, has won 15 of his last 18 decisions and currently leads the entire AHL in victories (21-9-1) while posting a 2.44 goals-against average and a .908 save percentage for Worcester. The rookie from South St. Paul, Minn., was a fourth-round draft pick by San Jose in 2005.

The 2010 Time Warner Cable AHL All-Star Classic will feature the top talent in the American Hockey League competing in the 2010 Ducks Unlimited AHL All-Star Skills Competition on Monday, January 18 (8:00 p.m. ET) and the 2010 AHL All-Star Game on Tuesday, January 19 (6:00 p.m. ET). Of the 492 players to take part in the AHL All-Star Classic since 1995, more than 94 percent have competed in the National Hockey League, including Patrice Bergeron, Brad Boyes, Dan Boyle, Daniel Briere, Brian Campbell, Zdeno Chara, Rick DiPietro, Miikka Kiprusoff, Kari Lehtonen, Ryan Miller, Zach Parise, Bobby Ryan, Martin St. Louis, Jason Spezza, Eric Staal and Tomas Vokoun.
