Another night, another win, and another step closer to history for the Philadelphia Phantoms.

Jon Sim scored two power-play goals and added an assist as the Phantoms won for the 15th consecutive time, 4-1 over the Providence Bruins on Wednesday night.

The longest winning streak in AHL history is 16 games, set by the Baltimore Skipjacks in the 1984-85 season. The Phantoms can tie and break the record against their arch-rivals as they open a home-and-home series with the Hershey Bears on Friday night.

Sim, acquired by the Phantoms from Utah on Nov. 14, has five goals and three assists in five games since joining the club.

R.J. Umberger and Mark Murphy also scored for the Phantoms, and Antero Niittymaki made 20 saves to run his personal winning streak to 11 games.
