Since sweeping a pair of games from Milwaukee on Oct. 16-17, Abbotsford has split a trio of two-game sets at the Entertainment & Sports Centre… The Heat took a 4-1 win over Hamilton on Tuesday and dropped a 2-1 decision to the Bulldogs on Wednesday… Abbotsford and Manitoba have each played a league-high 21 games thus far… Colin Stuart is riding a four-game scoring streak (1-3-4) for the Heat, while defenseman John Negrin (3-3-6) and forward Jason Jaffray (3-3-6) each saw three-game runs end in Wednesday’s loss… Staffan Kronwall picked up an assist on Tuesday in his first game of a conditioning loan from parent-club Calgary… Abbotsford welcomes Bridgeport to town for a pair of tilts this weekend.

Lake Erie snapped a five-game winless skid (0-4-0-1) and three-game home losing streak with a 3-1 triumph over Houston on Saturday… Brian Willsie registered his fourth multiple-point performance of the season with a goal and an assist in the victory, which came one night after a 6-0 loss to the Aeros on Friday… Darren Haydar (6-7-13 in 16 games) has climbed into a tie with the recalled Chris Durno (7-6-13 in 12 games) for the Monsters scoring lead… A league-leading three of Lake Erie’s four shorthanded goals thus far have come on the road… The Monsters play each of their next three games against Toronto, beginning with a home-and-home set this weekend.

Manitoba scored five regulation goals for the first time all season last Friday in a 5-1 win over Toronto… It ended a seven-game stretch in which the Moose did not score more than one regulation goal in any contest… No Manitoba player had earned multiple points in a game since Oct. 14 vs. Abbotsford before Marco Rosa (1-2-3), Marty Murray (1-1-2), Eric Walsky (0-2-2), and Evan Oberg (0-2-2) all did so in Friday’s win… Goaltender Cory Schneider returned from the NHL and stopped 38 of 40 shots (.950) in earning a pair of wins last weekend… The Moose welcome Hamilton to the MTS Centre this Friday and Saturday.

The IceHogs have alternated wins and losses (3-3-0-0) since dropping three games in three days from Oct. 30 to Nov. 1… A night after getting shut out for the second time this year in a 4-0 loss to Texas, Rockford bounced back by matching a season-high with six goals in a 6-3 win over Abbotsford on Saturday… Fourteen different IceHogs earned at least a point in that triumph, and goaltender Joe Fallon earned his first career AHL home win… Rookie defenseman Brian Connelly has three points (1-2-3) in his last two contests… Rockford is 7-2-1-1 when scoring the game’s first goal and 1-8-0-0 when allowing it… The IceHogs host Chicago and Texas this weekend as they continue a six-game homestand.
