Wolf Pack ink LoVerde, McCollum, Zolnierczyk

The Hartford Wolf Pack have signed defenseman Vincent LoVerde, goaltender Tom McCollum and forward Harry Zolnierczyk to AHL contracts.

LoVerde, a veteran of eight pro seasons, tallied three goals and eight assists for 11 points in 68 games with the AHL’s Toronto Marlies in 2018-19. He also notched six assists in 13 postseason games.

A two-time Calder Cup champion (2015, 2018), LoVerde has skated in 432 regular-season games in the AHL with Toronto, Ontario and Manchester, collecting 45 goals and 107 assists for 152 points with a plus-98 rating.

In 78 Calder Cup Playoff games, he has three goals and 20 assists for 23 points and a plus-31 rating.

McCollum, a first-round draft choice (30th overall) by Detroit in 2008, enters his 11th professional season in 2019-20 after going 12-10-10 with a 2.72 goals-against average, an .899 save percentage and two shutouts in 34 appearances for the Milwaukee Admirals last season.

McCollum has appeared in 315 career AHL games with Milwaukee, Grand Rapids, Charlotte and Stockton, posting a record of 147-117-33 with a 2.72 GAA, a .907 save percentage and 11 shutouts.

McCollum also has a record of 15-12 (2.67, .911) with one shutout in 32 career playoff appearances, and was a member of Grand Rapids’ Calder Cup championship team in 2013.

McCollum made his NHL debut with the Red Wings in 2010-11 and has played in three career NHL contests (1-0-0).

Zolnierczyk enters his ninth pro season after setting career highs with 36 assists and 51 points in 72 games with the AHL’s Springfield Thunderbirds in 2018-19.

Zolnierczyk has skated in 426 AHL games with Springfield, Milwaukee, San Diego, Bridgeport, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Norfolk and Adirondack, totaling 106 goals and 137 assists for 243 points.

The winger has appeared in 84 NHL games with Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, the New York Islanders, Anaheim and Nashville, notching seven goals and six assists.
