Wolves bring back Matt Anderson

The Chicago Wolves announced today that they have re-signed center Matt Anderson.

The 26-year-old forward shared second among Wolves rookies with 13 goals and tied for eighth on the team with 31 points in 66 games last season. He also paced the club and shared 19th in the American Hockey League with a +20 plus/minus rating.

Overall, the West Islip, N.Y., native has racked up 14 goals, 19 assists and 33 points in 80 career contests with Chicago, spanning three seasons (2006-09).

He has also skated in 24 Calder Cup playoff games for the Wolves, recording two goals and four points, and was a member of Chicago’s 2008 Calder Cup championship team.

Prior to turning pro, Anderson registered 57 assists and 90 points in 126 career outings with the University of Massachusetts-Amherst (Hockey East), spanning four seasons (2002-03; 2004-07).
