With just one regulation loss in its first 10 games (6-1-0-3), Houston hits the road for a quick two-game trip beginning tonight in Cleveland against the Lake Erie Monsters… Jon DiSalvatore (1-7-8) and Casey Wellman (4-2-6) bring six-game scoring streaks into the contest for the Aeros… Lake Erie dropped a 3-0 decision in Grand Rapids last night, already the Monsters’ fourth shutout loss of the season… Cedrick Desjardins made 35 saves in the loss, and has a .955 save percentage in two starts with Lake Erie.

Chicago and Peoria tangle for the first of a two-game set at Carver Arena tonight… The Rivermen won the teams’ only previous meeting this season, 5-2 back on Oct. 23… Jonathan Cheechoo and Adam Cracknell had a goal and two assists each for Peoria in that game, and T.J. Hensick scored twice… The Riverman, who are kicking off a four-game homestand, are 4-1-1-0 in their last six games after going winless in their first four… The Wolves hit the road for five straight games after a 2-1 win over Texas on Saturday night… Darren Haydar (4-4-8), Chicago’s leading scorer this season, scored both Wolves goals in the win and Eddie Lack stopped 33 of 34 shots.

Toronto starts the middle portion of its nine-game road trip with a visit to Cedar Park tonight… The Marlies, who lost twice to Lake Erie in Cleveland over the weekend, visit the AHL’s four teams in Texas and Oklahoma before a three-game trek through New York state… Joe Colborne (8-8-16), the Reebok/AHL Player of the Month for October, had an eight-game scoring streak snapped in Saturday’s 4-0 Marlies loss… The Stars got back in the win column with a 5-3 victory in Milwaukee on Saturday… Tomas Vincour scored a goal for Texas for the third straight game, and rookie Matt Fraser scored for the sixth time in his last five outings.

Oklahoma City heads north to open a two-game visit to Abbotsford tonight in a battle of Edmonton and Calgary’s top affiliates… The Barons are 6-1-0-1 since a 7-0 opening-night loss to Texas… Philippe Cornet (7-1-8) has scored seven goals on 14 shots in his last seven games for Oklahoma City… The Heat closed out a four-game trip with three straight wins, capped by a 3-2 overtime victory in Hamilton on Tuesday… Joe Piskula scored the game-winner for Abbotsford, just his fourth goal in 275 career regular-season games in the AHL… Krys Kolanos had an assist for the Heat, giving him 4-4-8 in three games since joining the lineup.
