Flames sign Centomo

The Calgary Flames, a parent team of the AHL’s Lowell Lock Monsters, announced today the signing of goaltender Sebastien Centomo.

Centomo played the 2003-04 season with the St. John’s Maple Leafs, appearing in 39 games and posting a 13-17-4 record with two shutouts.

The 23-year-old Centomo was 32-34-9 in 83 appearances with St. John’s over the past three seasons, and appeared in one NHL game with Toronto, during the 2001-02 season. The native of Laval, Que., was impressive during the Calder Cup Playoffs in 2002, leading the Maple Leafs to a first-round upset of Lowell with shutouts in Game 4 and the decisive Game 5.
