The Calder Cup Playoffs are coming to San Diego.
In their first season as members of the American Hockey League, the San Diego Gulls have clinched a postseason berth, officially securing their spot on Wednesday night when San Jose dropped a 4-3 overtime decision in San Antonio.
The Gulls, top affiliate of the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks, are the second Pacific Division club to wrap up a playoff spot.
