Biography
ACQUIRED: Selected at the 2005 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Islanders in the 2nd round (46th overall)
Last Season: Split time between the Sound Tigers and their NHL affiliate New York Islanders. Kohn played 45 games for the Sound Tigers, scoring 2 goals and adding 15 assists. Also added 2 goals and 2 assists in the Sound Tigers' 5 playoff games.
2008-2009: Completed his first professional hockey season with the Sound Tigers scoring 12 points (3g/9a) … Suffered a shoulder injury three quarters of the way through he season.
2006-07: Ranked ninth in the WHL and first on the Brandon Wheat Kings with 50 points (5g/45a) … Lost to his former team the Calgary Hitmen (WHL) in the WHL Division Semi-finals. 2005-06: Played in 38 games with Calgary to start the season scoring 14 points (2g/12a) before his trade to Brandon where he scored 15 points (2g/13a) in 31 games … Made his professional debut with the Sound Tigers for two games after the Wheat Kings were knocked out of the WHL playoffs. 2004-05: Ranked 13th in defensemen scoring in the WHL and first out of the Hitmen defensemen with 43 points (8g/35a) in 71 games. 2003-04: Began his junior career in Calgary playing in 52 games and scoring nine points (3g/6a).
