CAREER: Scored the game-winning goal in the fifth overtime of a Calder Cup playoff game for Philadelphia against Albany on April 24, 2008, the longest game in AHL history…Led all NCAA players in scoring while at the University of Minnesota in 2005-06, recording 63 points...A finalist for the Hobey Baker Memorial Award in 2006, Ryan scored 118 points on 68 goals and 50 assists in 100 games with the University of Minnesota from 2003-06. His final season with the Golden Gophers saw him score a career-high 38 goals and 63 points in 41 games as he was named an NCAA West first team All-American and a WCHA first team-all star. Ryan also excelled in the junior ranks as he played two seasons with the Lincoln Stars of the United States Hockey League prior to moving to the collegiate ranks. He was a key member of Lincoln’s 2003 USHL Clark Cup championship team, leading the league in scoring with 35-43-78 in 54 games. He was named the USHL Player of the Year as well as the USHL Top Forward and was named to the USHL’s first all-star team. His brother Grant is tied for the Falcons record for most goals in a game with four.
