CAREER NOTES:  Drafted by Washington in the ninth round (263rd overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry draft and signed a two-year entry level contract with the Capitals on March 16, 2007... Won the Les Cunningham Award as the 2013-14 AHL Most Valuable Player... Awarded the John B. Sollenberger Trophy as the AHL’s 2013-14 regular season scoring leader... Winner of the Jack A. Butterfield trophy as the 2014 Calder Cup Most Valuable Player... Selected to the 2014 AHL All-Star Classic in St. John’s... Made his AHL debut with the Hershey Bears on November 7, 2007 at Norfolk and tallied an assist for his first career AHL point… Scored his first career AHL goal on November 1, 2009 vs. Houston... Signed a one-year NHL contract with Dallas on July 2, 2010 and made his NHL debut on January 26, 2011 vs. Edmonton... Selected to the 2011 AHL All-Star Classic, but missed the game due to an NHL call-up... Registered an assist for his first career NHL point and his 300th career pro assist on March 14, 2014 vs. Calgary... Signed with the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL and made his pro debut on March 18, 2007 against the Pensacola Ice Pilots, scoring his first pro goal in a 3-2 win... 2014-15 SEASON:  Scored the 100th goal of his AHL and Texas Stars career on Oct. 18 vs. Utica, passing Colton Sceviour for first in franchise history... Recorded the 200th assist and 300th point of his AHL career on Oct. 24 at Oklahoma City... Scored a hat trick and four-point night on Oct. 25 vs. Oklahoma City... Led the AHL with 13 points (five goals, eight assists) in the month of October...
