Gilbert Brule (RW)
CAREER NOTES: 2012-2013: Brule played in 14 games for Zurich. 2011-2012: Brule split his 11-12 season between the Oklahoma City Barons and the Phoenix Coyotes, recording 8-10-18 for the former and 5-9-14 for the latter. Brule added 2 goals and an assist in 12 playoff games with the Coyotes. 2010-2011: Brule appeared in 41 games with the Edmonton Oilers, scoring 7 goals. 2009-2010: Brule was ranked 2nd on Edmonton in goals(17) and 3rd in total points(37). 2008-2009: Splitting his season between the Springfield Falcons (AHL) and the Edmonton Oilers, Brule recorded a combined 15-12-27. 2007-2008: Brule skated in 61 games for the Columbus Blue Jackets and 16 games for the Syracuse Crunch. He scored a total of 6 goals and notched 13 assists between the two clubs. 2006-2007: In his first complete NHL season, Brule skated in 78 games for the Columbus Blue Jackets, tallying 9 goals and 10 assists. 2005-2006: While with the Vancouver Giants, Brule was the WHL Playoffs MVP in addition to helping the team win the WHL Championship. He had the most goals(16) and points(30) in the WHL playoffs. He was named to the CHL Memorial Cup All-Star team as well as winning the CHL Memorial Cup Most Points “Ed Chynoweth Award.” Brule also made his NHL debut with Columbus, collecting 2 goals and 2 assists in 7 games. 2004-2005: Brule was named CHL Scholastic Player of the Year, was named to the CHL Second All-Star team, and skated in the CHL Top Prospects game. He was 1st on the Vancouver Giants in goals(39) and total points(87). 2003-2004: In his first full season with the Vancouver Giants, Brule made the CHL All-Rookie team as well as being named WHL Rookie of the Year. He won a silver medal with the Canada Pacific U17 team, scoring the most goals(8) and most points(13). 2002-2003: While with the Quesnel Millionaires of the BCHL, Brule was named BCHL Rookie of the Year.
