Biography
Limited to 41 Oiler games last season (7 G, 2 A) because of concussion, flu, ankle and abdomen injuries...Made NHL debut in a season opener Oct. 5, 2005 at Washington and assisted on the Blue Jackets' first goal of the season in a game that also featured Alexander Ovechkin's NHL debut...Returned to finish junior career at Vancouver of the WHL after 7 NHL games in the 2005-06 season...In final junior campaign (2005-06) led Vancouver to the WHL championship while being named playoff MVP with a league-leading 16 goals and 30 points despite missing part of the regular season with sternum and leg injuries...Awarded the Ed Chynoweth Trophy as Memorial Cup leading scorer with 6 goals and 6 assists...Acquired by Edmonton in trade from Columbus on
