Biography

2009-10: Began the season with Atlant Mytishchi (KHL)…In 12 games for Atlant he had one goal and six penalty minutes…Signed a standard AHL contract with the Phantoms on 1/25/10…Looking to make his North American and AHL debut.

2008-09: Split the season between Lada Togliatti and Atlant Mytishchi, both of the KHL…Had 6 points (1 goal, 5 assists) and 20 PIMs in 24 games for Lada, was then transferred to Atlant, where he appeared in 21 games and also had six points (1 goal, 5 assists), along with 24 PIMs…Played in four KHL Playoff games for Atlant and had one assist and ten penalty minutes.

CAREER NOTES: Born in Moscow, Russia…Drafted by the Flyers in the 2nd Round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, one of three Flyers 2nd Round Picks that year along with Andreas Nodl and Michael Ratchuk.

JUNIORS: Played five years as a junior-aged player in Russia, mostly with his hometown team, Lada Togliatti, but also one season for CSK VVS Samara…In 177 games before his 21st birthday, he had 27 points (7 goals, 20 assists) and 225 penalty minutes… Represented Team Russia at the 2006 IIHF World Junior Championships held in British Columbia, Canada; he had three assists and a +3 rating in six games as the Russians swept their four group games, then beat the United States 5-1 in the Semifinals, but lost to Canada 5-0 in the Gold Medal game.
