Biography
Acquired:
Signed by the Philadelphia Flyers to a two-year, entry-level contract in March 2010.
2011-12:
Named Phantoms captain at beginning of season.
Became the youngest captain in Phantoms history at 24 years old (Boyd Kane was 25 in 2003). Recalled by Philadelphia on 11/2 and played in Flyers game against Buffalo.
Recalled by the Flyers on 12/19 and played in his home-state of Colorado against the Avalanche.
Returned to Phantoms on 12/24.
Game-winning goal in overtime on 12/10 against Rochester.
Penalty shot goal on 12/17 at Syracuse.
Scored the game-tying goal with 20.8 seconds left in regulation in front of the largest crowd in AHL history (ATT: 45,653) on 1/6/12 against Hershey and set up Shane Harper to score the game-winner in the first minute of overtime.
Recalled by Philadelphia on 1/21.
Returned on loan to Adirondack and re-joined team on Jan 25.
2010-11:
Named Phantoms’ Most Valuable Player.
Scored 16 goals and 22 assists for 38 points in 79 games.
Was named an assistant captain late in the season.
Made NHL debut on 3/3/11 vs. the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Called up for 4/5/11 game at Ottawa, which ended his streak of playing in every Phantoms game of the 10-11 season.
2009-10:
Joined Phantoms after completing his NCAA career at U-Mass Lowell (Hockey East).
Played 13 games for Phantoms and scored three goals.
Scored first pro goal on 3/19/10 at Norfolk.
Scored first GFCC goal on 3/24/10 vs. Albany.
Scored nine goals and 14 assists in 39 games, as team captain for the UMass-Lowell Riverhawks.
Career:
Tallied 26 goals and 58 assists in four-year, 144-game career at UMass-Lowell (Hockey East).
Named Hockey East’s and NCAA New England’s Best Defensive Forward in 09-10.
Played three seasons in the USHL for the Sioux Falls (SD) Stampede, he was teammates with Philadelphia’s Andreas Nodl.
Signed to an entry-level contract by the Flyers in March 2010.
