Biography
2011-12: Ranked second among Griffins rookies with 20 points (9-11—20) in 55 games…Tied for the team lead with four game-winning goals…Also placed among team leaders with 47 penalty minutes (7th), a 0.333 shootout percentage (6th) and a 0.103 shooting percentage (T7th)…Recorded his first pro assist/point in the team’s season opener, 10/8/11 at Rockford…Scored his first professional goal, 11/11/11 at Hamilton…Notched an overtime-winning goal, 11/29/11 at Toronto, and a shootout-clinching tally, 12/14/11 vs. Rockford…Registered a pair of four-game point streaks, tallying four points (2-2—4) from 11/27/11-12/3/11 and four more (1-3—4) from 1/11/12-1/20/12…Scored goals in back-to-back games on two occasions, 11/27/11-11/29/11 and 3/7/12-3/10/12.

2008-09: Lit up the WHL for 37 goals, tying for ninth in the league…Added 18 assists to lead Red Deer in scoring with 55 points…Finished third on the club with 99 penalty minutes…Led the Rebels with 12 power play tallies…Appeared at the 2009 CHL Top Prospects Game and won the fastest skater event during the skills competition…Represented Canada at the World U18 Championship and recorded four points (2-2—4).
2007-08: Skated in 54 games in his first full junior season and finished fourth on Red Deer as a 16-year-old with 24 points (13-11—24).
2006-07: Played midget hockey for the Vancouver NW Giants and registered 34 points (21-13—34) in 25 games…Made his junior debut late in the season, going scoreless in four games with Red Deer.
2005-06: Selected second overall by Red Deer in the 2006 WHL Bantam Draft.
