Career Notes
Enters his second full professional season in 2012-13. Undrafted, Fraser signed a three-year entry level contract with Dallas on 11/17/10. He was assigned back to his junior team where he helped the Kootenay Ice win the 2011 WHL Championship and he led the league in playoff goals (17). Fraser made his pro and AHL debut on 4/9/10 on an amateur tryout with Peoria, but in his Texas debut on 10/9/11 he scored a power play goal for his first career pro & AHL point and then added another goal and an assist for a three-point night. During the 2011-12 season he led the Stars with 37 goals, becoming the first player in franchise history to score 30 goals in a single season. Fraser finished second overall in the AHL in goals, third in the league in shots (253), fifth in shorthanded goals (3) and ranked sixth among rookies in points (55); he was also named to the Western Conference All-Star team for the 2012 AHL All-Star Classic. He made his NHL debut with Dallas on 1/24/12 vs. Anaheim.
